Des Moines University has an Undergraduate Summer Research Program where students work with faculty researchers for an eight-week period on projects in microbiology, pharmacology, physiology, biochemistry and physical therapy. The students receive a stipend of $10/hr.

American Society for Microbiology undergrad research
ASM supports undergraduate researchers to work with ASM faculty members.
Application Deadline: February 1, 2010
The program requires a joint application from both the student and a faculty mentor. The faculty mentor must be an ASM member and willing to serve as the applicant's mentor for the duration of the research experience.
