Student Educational Enrichment Program (SEEP) at the GA Health Sciences University

SEEP is a 7-week program that aims to "increase the number of underrepresented physicians in the workforce, train culturally competent physicians and create a diverse academic and medical community".

SEEP has two versions:
- non-residential, for high school students
- residential, for college students and recent graduates (some positions available to non-GA students)

Note that  "High school students who are selected for participation in SEEP will be responsible for their daily transportation to and from the program. College SEEP is a residential program primarily for Georgia residents; however, a limited number of non-Georgia residents will be considered for participation."

National Institute on Aging: research opps for high school, college, graduate and medical students

The Summer Internship Program in Biomedical Research offers a unique opportunity for high school, college and graduate, and medical students to develop skills in scientific research. In this program, students receive hands-on experience. Summer internships generally last from eight to ten weeks, beginning in late May and ending in mid-to-late August. Some flexibility exists to accommodate individual student needs. 

To be eligible for this program, students must be enrolled at least half-time in an accredited U.S. high school, college, or university. In addition, candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and at least 16 years of age.

Recovery Act Funds for Administrative Supplements Providing Summer Research Experiences for Students and Science Educators

Researchers with active NIH funding may request supplements to support research experiences for high school students, undergraduates, and teachers.

Note that these funds do not carry the usual limitations of NIH supplements (http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/pa-files/PA-08-190.html), i.e., awards are limited to participants from low income, socially, culturally, or educationally disadvantaged backgrounds.
