1. Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium Friday Oct 16 3 – 5 pm and Saturday Oct 17 10 – 12 pm DUC commons
Encourage students to register to present their work! Please distribute the attached registration form widely. Registration is due Oct 2nd. Graduate student volunteers will judge the presentations and give feedback to each student. Encourage students in your classes to attend – maybe even a few participation points for turning in a short summary or interview of a few students?

2. SIRE Program for Undergraduate Research: New Offerings and Spring Deadline Oct 24
New this year, the SIRE program has special support for students traveling to Germany as part of their research experience. Also new this spring, we will be able to offer two grants of office space in the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry to students in the humanities. The deadline for spring funding is Oct 24.
